Investigators say they have enough DNA evidence to link the killer of 5-year-old Brittany Lynn Locklear to the crime if they can find the right suspect.

Hoke County Sheriff Wayne Byrd said the State Bureau of Investigation has found enough forensic evidence to generate a profile of the killer's DNA.He would not say what type of evidence was collected.

``Once we get a DNA report where we know we can get a match, there are some people we will request blood and hair samples from,' Byrd said. ``Anyone who refuses will jump to the top of my suspect list, and we'll get a court order to get them to do it.'

Byrd said immediate family members went to the bottom of his list after they volunteered for polygraph tests and submitted hair and blood samples last week.

Investigators say they are still looking for a white man driving a brownish pickup truck with running lights in the cab.
